As part of a 1932 series entitled "Program in the Interest of Public Opinion," Einstein spoke in German on disarmament and peace. The recording includes an introduction and translation into English by William B. Munro, then professor of government at Caltech. The second speech, made in 1933, was for a symposium on America and the world situation. Einstein spoke in English from a translation made by Richard Chace Tolman, professor of physics and chemistry. The tape also includes the introduction given by Robert A. Millikan, and comments by Munro and Henry M. Robinson, a Caltech trustee.
